I am starting the preparations today for our annual tradition
of hosting our family and friends for Christmas Eve. This year we are
hosting 26 people for dinner. Ivo and I have planned and tested our
menu of prime rib, garlic mashed and roasted brussel sprouts &
carrots. We are such foodies that we love doing this and it's
something that we do together, which makes it all the more special. It
is also that one day out of the year that I do an event for myself with
the linens, flowers, etc after a year of doing it for others as my job.
Our theme this year is a rustic country Christmas. As I do each year, I
will post photos of the table for you to see.
The other photo I share each year is the favorite ornament from my tree.

I have had this ornament for about 15 years. It was a gift as
most of ours are. We go with the variety look. I love it for many
reasons, but one is because it reminds me so much of Bob. The artistry
of this has something that makes me think of the beautiful work that Bob
Mackie creates.
So, my message for this season is Blessings. As you make your plans
and join your friends and family for this Christmas I wish you blessings
for a wonderful weekend, Christmas eve and Christmas day. Whatever it
is that you do, please enjoy with warm happy hearts. As we have been
reminded, even just recently, that life is so precious and sometimes
unpredictable, please enjoy each moment!
My best,
Margaux
