Over the last couple of months I have had several requests for the use of feathers in the floral decor of some special events that I have done. It's definitely something that I've done before and I always love that touch of softness that feathers add to a floral arrangement. It also adds lovely texture that enhances the overall look. My question for today is, "What do I wear for a snazzy evening out that is spectacular, but not something that we've all seen before?" Happy 4th of July, Mackinistas! Today, we bring you a post from the supreme Mackie enthusiast, Philip of Hire Me Bob Mackie, to tell you all about his experience seeing Cher perform live in NYC. Over the weekend I had the rare privilege of seeing The Mackie Muse, Cher, strut her stuff on stage. Did I cram myself in the throngs of revelers at the Pride Pier Dance? Good lord, no! I would have had a panic attack. Actually my fiancé, Ryan, found a hookup in order to watch her film a music spot for The Macy's 4th...

Throughout the month of June, in celebration of LGBT PRIDE, The Bloomingdale's flagship store in New York City honored The Stonewall Pride Collection. Designers who have made bold contributions to the fashion community were asked to lend their most iconic pieces. Two Bob Mackie masterpieces stand tall and proudly along the designs of Chris March and Ali Rahimi for Mon Atelier. The Stonewall Pride Collection honors those who have greatly contributed to bringing a sense of beauty and glamour to film, television, concerts, and the red carpet. During Pride Month, it is fitting to present these creations so...
